I bought this new “racing” ignition coil and spark plug wire because the one I recently installed  has a bad habit of working its way off the plug, causing sudden loss of ignition.

So I picked up a “high performance” ignition coil. You see, I am a sucker.

There was a guy in a Vespa forum who swore he picked up 4-5 MPG with this.

Vespa forum discussions of ignition coils are riveting.

On an average vehicle, 4-5mpg would be impressive. On a vehicle that gets 150mpgs, 4-5 is the difference between eating breakfast before your commute and eating it at your desk.

I recently bought sparkplug wires for the truck and they’re blue. It looks so odd in the engine bay

I usually only get black

Orange is fast, true, but the red ones go faster. Also, green is strongest, because Hulk strongest one there is.

No, it’s not the orange ones, the red ones go faster.

Admittedly, I thought the plug was for 110VAC and thought “Now, how does that work?”
